TPG Construction earns The InterContinental Hotels Group 2007 Renovation Award for its Holiday Inn South Kingstown, Rhode Island

Providence, RI – Nov. 29, 2007 – Rhode Island based real estate developer/hotelier, The Procaccianti Group (TPG), has received the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) [LON: IHG, NYSE: IHG (ADRs)] 2007 Renovation Award for its comprehensive renovation of the Holiday Inn South Kingstown, Rhode Island.

This prestigious award is given only to those hotels that merit special recognition for having successfully completed major modernization and renovation programs during the past year. The recipients of this award are judged to have significantly improved and updated the quality and image of their properties.

The award was presented at a special ceremony held during the Americas Investors & Leadership Conference in Dallas, October 22-24.

More than 3,500 franchise owners, operators and company officials attended the 3 day IHG Americas Investors & Leadership Conference.

TPG Construction, a full-service general contracting design-build and construction management company, was responsible for the $3 million renovation. TPG Construction provides management oversight of project level construction, design and purchasing and executes renovations at hotel properties owned by The Procaccianti Group.

The extensive renovations to the Holiday Inn South Kingstown include upgrades to all 107 guest rooms and improvements to the exterior. The 2,100 square feet of meeting, banquet space and common areas were transformed. The Restaurant and Lounge were completely refurbished and reopened as Liliana’s Italian Restaurant.

With its proximity to the University of Rhode Island, beaches and South County, the newly renovated hotel will continue to be a terrific year-round destination.
