Raimondo Nominates Seven Members to the Rhode Island Energy Efficiency and Resource Management Board

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – June 4, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Governor Gina M. Raimondo today announced her intent to nominate the following individuals to the Rhode Island Energy Efficiency and Resource Management Council:

• H. Robert Bacon

• Roberta Fagan

• Betsy Stubblefield Loucks

• Shigeru Osada

• Christopher Powell

• Karen Verrengia

• Diane Williamson

Raimondo will submit their names to the Rhode Island State Senate for confirmation.

“The Rhode Island Energy Efficiency and Resource Management Council plays a robust role in our state’s resource management and energy policy,” said Governor Raimondo. “I am pleased these new Council members have agreed to provide their diverse expertise to tackle our region’s pressing energy challenges.”

“I also want to thank outgoing Council members Marsha Garcia, Daniel J. Justinski and S. Paul Ryan for their service to the state, and I wish them the very best,” said Raimondo.

The mission of the Rhode Island Energy Efficiency and Resource Management Council is to provide an organizational structure to secure the full supply, economic and environmental benefits of energy efficiency, conservation and resource management for Rhode Island. The purposes of the Council are to evaluate and make recommendations for energy plans and programs; provide stakeholder involvement in energy planning; monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of energy programs; and promote public awareness, understanding and action in response to energy issues
