WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 31, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The Department of Health recommends the closure of Goddard Memorial State Park Beach in Warwick and Warren Town Beach in Warren to swimming due to high bacteria counts. Officials will continue to monitor the water quality and recommend re-opening when the areas are safe for swimming. Water quality analysis is conducted by the State Health laboratory or a state certified laboratory.
The Department of Health recommends re-opening City Park Beach and Oakland Beach in Warwick for swimming. This recommendation is based on results from water samples that show bacteria levels within acceptable limits. Officials will continue to monitor the water quality regularly to assure safe bathing throughout the summer season. Water quality analysis is conducted by the State Health laboratory or a state certified laboratory.
