Rhode Island Housing Welcomes New Board Chair

Providence, RI – August 27, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Today, Mark R. Noble, Vice President of Commercial Real Estate for Citizens Bank, officially assumed his role as chairperson of Rhode Island Housing’s Board of Commissioners. Noble takes over for Anthony Marouchoc, who retired after serving as the Board Chair of the agency for six years. Noble has over 30 years experience in the Rhode Island banking and mortgage finance industry.

“We are grateful to Tony Marouchoc for his dedication to Rhode Island Housing and his commitment to helping Rhode Islanders find safe, healthy homes that they can afford,” says Richard Godfrey, Rhode Island Housing Executive Director. “Mark brings to us decades of working knowledge of the Rhode Island lending scene and a compassion for all Rhode Islanders. We look forward to his leadership to help us continue to fulfill our vital mission at a time when more Rhode Islanders than ever before are in need of our support.”

Prior to joining Citizens Bank, Noble held various senior lending positions at Old Stone Bank. He is a Vietnam veteran, serving as a Lieutenant Senior Grade in the United States Navy. He is currently the Commissioner of the South Kingstown Parks and Recreation Commission and has served on various boards, commissions and committees. He is a graduate of College of the Holy Cross.
